Zed
A code editor designed for programming and collaborative work.
Overview
Zed is a code editor whose official site focuses on speed, collaboration, and AI-assisted programming work.
Why it is here
An editor is used repeatedly, so it is worth trying navigation, search, terminal, and collaboration on a real project before changing your daily environment.
Good fit for
Software developers who care about editor responsiveness, collaboration, and an extensible development workflow.
Try it when
- Comparing everyday editing on a small project
- Reviewing the same code section with a teammate
- Bringing AI assistance into an existing editor workflow
