The Bézier Game
Place nodes and drag control handles along outlines to see how a pen tool builds straight segments and curves.
What is The Bézier Game?
The Bézier Game is a browser exercise for learning a pen tool. It provides a grey outline so you can place nodes, drag out control handles, and compare your path with the guide.
We tested the opening straight-line tutorial, then explored nodes and handles on the house outline. We did not complete the full game.
Why keep it handy?
Finding a pen-tool button is easier than deciding where a node belongs or which way to pull its handles. A small tracing exercise makes those choices visible without putting a finished illustration at risk.
Who is it for?
It suits people learning vector drawing and designers practising tracing, corners, and curve control. Treat it as an exercise, not a full vector editor.
A practical starting point
In our test, placing three nodes along the first right-angle outline advanced the page to a house outline. Adding another node and pressing Undo removed the newly added segment.
We also dragged two nodes to produce paired control handles and a curved segment between them. That experiment showed how the handles affect a path; it did not complete the house outline.
Before you use it
The official page says the game needs a keyboard and a mouse or trackpad, and directs phone-touch users to a different game. We tested desktop input only, not phone controls, every stage, full-game scoring, or saved progress. Check your drawing application’s own shortcuts rather than assuming they match this exercise.
