AFFiNE
A local-first workspace that brings documents, databases, and visual whiteboards together.
Overview
AFFiNE is an open-source workspace for writing notes, organizing information, and mapping ideas on a whiteboard. Its desktop app can keep work local and work offline.
Why it is here
It is useful when a project needs both structured documents and a more visual planning space without moving between separate tools.
Good fit for
People who take project notes, build personal knowledge systems, or plan work with a mix of text and diagrams.
Try it when
- Turning meeting notes into linked project pages
- Sketching an early plan beside supporting documents
- Keeping a local workspace available while offline
